We came across this today and so pleased we stopped to take a walk up! The views would have been amazing, but we got fog covering most of the area. It was also a windy day. But we loved it! The 2 towers had useful information at the top. We took out little dog and she loved exploring! Theres plenty of information boards to learn about it. There’s also a bit of a climb to the top, but great views. You can see the quarry being excavated!
It's really worth the 5 minute walk from the car park. The views are amazing. You can see Emley Moor mast, which is about 66 miles away. It's not a hike.
Great views, very open area and windy, we went on a really wet day.
Easy parking off the road at the bottom and about a 500 /600mtr walk to the top
If views are your thing. Then worth a visit. Over looking an open mine. You can see the trucks going about their work. We visited in November. It was dry. But wow. The wind at the view point, was exhilarating.
What a fantastic place. Walk up man made path which despite research, is not too steep and fairly easy for all mobilities. Wonderful views for miles around and a superb view of the quarry. Free admission. Would recommend doing it in late Spring, summer or early autumn as the feature creates a strong wind tunnel. Well worth visiting.
Enjoyed it here, beautiful views when at the top of the hill and it was somewhere a bit different. Worth a visit
Nice little walk out. A fairly steep hill up to the top, but nothing too crazy. The history of the place is easy to see and you have some great views from the top. Few nice picnic benches too for a picnic. Well worth a pitstop.
Free Car park just a short walk. Fairly steep to get upto the cut but beautiful views all around. Giant bike sculpture and then the views over the working quarry through the cut.
